Question 1

How do I place an order?

Accepted Answer

You can order directly through our online shop. Select your varieties and quantities, proceed to checkout, and we'll confirm your order by email. If you have a specific request or need a larger quantity, feel free to reach out via the contact form.

Question 2

Where do you deliver?

Accepted Answer

We currently deliver across the Perth metropolitan area and selected parts of regional Western Australia. If you're unsure whether we deliver to your address, get in touch and we'll let you know.

Question 3

How often do you dispatch orders?

Accepted Answer

We dispatch orders several times per week, aligned with our harvest schedule to ensure maximum freshness. You'll receive a dispatch notification with an estimated delivery window once your order is on its way.

Question 4

How are the mushrooms packaged for delivery?

Accepted Answer

All mushrooms are packed in breathable, food-safe packaging designed to maintain freshness during transit. We avoid plastic where possible and use minimal, recyclable materials.

Question 5

Can I pick up my order in person?

Accepted Answer

Yes — farm pickup is available at 610 Safety Bay Rd, Waikiki WA 6169. Select the pickup option at checkout or contact us to arrange a convenient time.

Question 6

What if my order arrives damaged or incorrect?

Accepted Answer

We take great care with every order, but if something isn't right please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with a photo and we'll make it right — either with a replacement or a refund.

Question 7

How fresh are the mushrooms when they arrive?

Accepted Answer

Our mushrooms are harvested to order and typically dispatched within 24 hours of picking. Because we grow and sell direct, there's no warehouse sitting between the farm and your kitchen.

Question 8

How should I store fresh mushrooms?

Accepted Answer

Store fresh mushrooms in a paper bag or breathable container in the refrigerator. Avoid sealed plastic bags, which trap moisture and accelerate deterioration. Most varieties will keep well for 5–10 days when stored correctly.

Question 9

Can I freeze the mushrooms?

Accepted Answer

Yes, though we recommend lightly sautéing them first before freezing. Raw mushrooms have a high water content and can become mushy when frozen and thawed. A quick cook before freezing preserves texture and flavour far better.

Question 10

How long do the mushrooms last once opened?

Accepted Answer

Once opened, use within 3–5 days for best quality. Keep them refrigerated in a paper bag or loosely covered container. If you notice any sliminess or off odour, discard them.

Question 11

What varieties do you grow?

Accepted Answer

Our core range includes oyster mushrooms (pearl, pink, and golden), lion's mane, and shiitake. We also grow seasonal and specialty varieties throughout the year. Check the shop for current availability, or follow us on Instagram for updates on upcoming flushes.

Question 12

Are your mushrooms certified organic?

Accepted Answer

We grow using organic principles — no synthetic pesticides, herbicides, or chemical fertilisers. While we are not currently certified organic, our growing methods prioritise clean, natural cultivation. We're happy to answer any specific questions about our inputs.

Question 13

Are the mushrooms safe for people with allergies?

Accepted Answer

Our mushrooms are grown in a dedicated facility and are not processed alongside common allergens. However, if you have a specific allergy concern, please contact us directly before ordering so we can give you accurate information.

Question 14

Do you sell dried or processed mushrooms?

Accepted Answer

Our primary focus is fresh mushrooms. We occasionally offer dried varieties — check the shop for current stock. If you're interested in dried mushrooms in larger quantities, reach out and we can discuss options.

Question 15

How do I cook with lion's mane mushrooms?

Accepted Answer

Lion's mane is incredibly versatile. Slice it thick and pan-fry in butter or olive oil over medium-high heat until golden — it develops a texture similar to scallop or crab. It also works beautifully in soups, risottos, and as a meat substitute in tacos or burgers.

Question 16

Do you supply restaurants and food businesses?

Accepted Answer

Yes — wholesale supply is a core part of what we do. We work with restaurants, cafes, caterers, retailers, and food producers across Perth and WA. Visit our wholesale page to learn more about volumes, pricing tiers, and how to get started.

Question 17

What are your minimum wholesale order quantities?

Accepted Answer

Our entry-level wholesale tier starts at 2 kg per order on a fortnightly basis, making it accessible for smaller operators. Regular and trade tiers start at 5 kg and 10 kg respectively. Full details are on the wholesale page.

Question 18

Can I get a sample before committing to wholesale?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. We encourage it. Get in touch via the wholesale inquiry form and mention you'd like a tasting — we'll arrange a sample delivery or farm visit so you can assess quality before making any commitment.

Question 19

Do you offer custom growing for specific varieties or volumes?

Accepted Answer

For established wholesale partners, we can plan grows around your specific requirements — particular varieties, volumes, or harvest timing. This works best with some lead time, so reach out early if you have a specific need.
